Waiver or not, when Travis ain't there, the Pastrana compound is closed.

Some good and bad news for us Pastrana fans. The criminals that stole those bikes that were stolen from TP, including one of his trophy bikes (you can read about it here) have been caught and one faces 10 years in prison! Only one of the bikes out of the four that were stolen were found which was a 2008 Suzuki RM450. The other three bikes still haven’t been found but apparently they’re somewhere in the Baltimore area, so keep an eye out if you live nearby.

That’s the good news, the bad news for the rest of is, don’t expect to flip into Travis’ foam pit or check out his shop out while he isn’t there. According to Robert Pastrana, TP’s dad, Travis has beefed up his security and isn’t allowing anyone accessing his property while he is away, which is a good portion of the year unfortunately.

On a final note, Robert also said that one of the stolen bikes was a trophy bike (like his 125cc Motocross Championship bike or the Double Backflip bike) which he planned to display inside (like both bikes mentioned) however that one is still missing. So keep an eye out for a 2008 Suzuki RM250, a 2004 Suzuki RM250 and a 1995 Honda CR500, all decked out in typical Pastrana/199 decals and equipment. The trophy bike was probably the ’04 250 since Travis didn’t really race in 2008.

Red Bull Toasted with Travis Pastrana

Well for those who are out of the Pastrana loop, Red Bull have organized a celebration of their most famous and most talented athlete, Travis Pastrana. The event will recap his life much like his film, 199 Lives and celebrate what Travis has achieved.

As the title says, all the tickets are gone! However you might be able to grab some from Filter magazine or KISS-FM. The event will be held at Avalon on 735 Vine Street, Hollywood CA on the 28th of July 2009. To make the event even more spectacular the Nitro Circus, James Stewart and Ryan Sheckler will be there and to top it off, Arj Barker will host it.

If you are still eager to get a glimpse of Travis, you might be able to line the red carpet however don’t get your hopes up.

8pm; Start of the show
11pm; Expected close

If you want to catch Travis, he is in L.A. for a short while, competing at X Games which starts the next day.

Four motorcycles were stolen out of a trailer at Travis Pastrana’s house last night. The bikes were taken somewhere between 10 pm last night, Sunday, June 28th and 8:00 am this morning. Here is a list of the motorcycles:

1.     2007 Suzuki RM250 – VIN JS1RJ18C172100934

2.     2008 Suzuki RMZ450 – VIN JS1RL42C382101816

3.     2004 Suzuki RM250 – VIN Unknown

4.     1996 Honda CR500 – VIN Unknown

Both of the RM250′s and the CR500 had powder-coated black frames.  The seats were cut down and the airboxes and side number plates on the RM250′s were cut for Freestyle.  Please keep your eyes open for anyone attempting to purchase RM250 airboxes.  All bikes had Nitro Circus graphics and white TAG Metals handlebars, which are rare.  The RM250′s had Pro Circuit un-plated Pipes and shorty Silencers.  The CR500 had a plated Pro Circuit pipe and silencer.  The RMZ450 had a complete Yoshimura exhaust system.  All bikes have Michelin tires.  The 2007 RM250 and 2008 RMZ450 were recently purchased.

From the 2nd last paragraph is pretty much says the bikes were typical Nitro Circus bikes. For all those Maryland folk, keep an eye out for bikes with parts from Travis’ sponsors (checkout the sponsors page for more).
