Newer MTX: Mototrax cover for the PSP

By playing the above flash game, you understand it is property of Red Bull and not of travispastrana.net. To Play it at Travis’ Official site, go here or to play it at the Red Bull No Limits site, go here.

Travis has been featured in only a few games. He is the a main part of only two games being “Freestyle Motocross: McGrath vs Pastrana” by Acclaim Entertainment (now Acclaim Games) and “MTX: Mototrax” by Activision. He also appears in the Dirt Rally Car games which are part of the Colin McRae franchise by Activision as well.

One of Travis’ sponsors is Actvision therefore he does not appear in any games by other publishers. MTX: Mototrax is available for the Xbox, PS2 and PSP while Freestyle Motocross: McGrath vs Pastrana is available on the Playstation (not sold). More information about these games is below.

Besides those mentioned games, Red Bull has produced a flash game based on Travis (the one above) which the aim is to get the furthest distance. Highscores can be recorded against friends via Facebook and there are different vehicles and starting ramps to choose from.

MTX: Mototrax is a career motocross game in which you are an amateur motocross racer. Although the main objective is to race and eventually become Pro and win championships, players can compete in Freestyle events (much like Travis did himself) and eventually you will end up at the L.A. Colleseum for X Games and perform the same Freestyle run Travis did in 2003.

The games features a wide array of tricks, with different variations and was the first game to include top sponsors’ products so players can customize their rider. As well as Travis Pastrana, other featured riders include Chad Reed, Ezra Lusk, Davi Milsaps, Tim Ferry, Nate Adams and Kenny Bartram.

Many levels are based off previous tracks and the first level is based on Travis own house. MTX: Mototrax also includes a track editor for Supercross tracks. One of the extras is short videos of each athlete which can be unlocked by progressing through the game. There is also many audio tracks by bands such as AFI, Disturbed and Slipknot to mention a few.

The game was developed for the Microsoft Xbox (Original)(2004), Sony Playstation 2 (2004) and the Sony Playstation Portable (2006). It was going to be released for the Nintendo GameCube but was cancelled.

This game is similar to MTX Mototrax in that the aim is to win but it also offers freestyle competitions as well. The game is more glitchy and has bad graphics by today’s standards but it was on the Playstation (Original). Players can choose to be Jeremy McGrath or Travis Pastrana and there is no other custom riders or pro riders available.

Some tracks are based on real places such as Lock Ness but the track only exists in the game. This game was praised for its innovations with crashes and new tricks (even backflips which wasn’t done in real life yet) but was known for it’s too-good handling, bad landings, slow loading and framerates and having only two riders.
