New Footage Of Travis' Trick!
Posted on Friday, July 31st, 2009
Travis has been working on his new trick for a while now, going on months and he hasn’t really called it anything. It was supposed to be a Backlip 360 however it has become quite something.
A collection of names so far are:
- No Handed Backflip 360
- “Spinny Flippy Thingy”
- Rodeo 360
- Toilet Paper Roll
Travis says he doesn’t know exactly what will happen once he is in the air but there is a 50/50 chance he will land it. By the looks of this video he has a very very slim chance. This trick will be gold for sure.
The trick looks to be a Backflip AND a 360 all at one time. Enjoy!

Red Bull’s tribute show, Red Bull Toasted with Travis Pastrana has ended. TP was in the center of the stage and attention as friends and competitors recite his life full of tragedies and successes. Special guests included the Nitro Circus, Tony Hawk, Ryan Sheckler and many more. The is the start of Travis’ action packed weekend with him competing in Best Trick and Rally at the X Games.
Here are some photos of the event.

Travis' New Trick Annouced!
Posted on Monday, July 20th, 2009
So for a little while Travis had his trick for X Games MotoX Best Trick under wraps and anything was a possibility. To the surprise of most people, he announced it will be a Backflip 360 No Hander. Apparently fellow X Games star turn Rally Driver, Dave Mirra kept bugging TP about the trick which Dave did on a BMX bike and eventually TP couldn’t take the harassment any longer.
Travis states “I am warming up with Double Backflips, that’s how much harder this trick is” and “It morphed into some kind of spinny flippy thing” which means we’re in for a show!
Australian Rider, Blake ‘Bilko’ Williams has tried to do the 360 No Hander, but let’s hope Travis doesn’t have the same fate.
This also means fellow Nitro Crew member, Jim DeChamp will not be going after the frontflip after he broke his back last year while attempting it. He later performed it on MTV’s Nitro Circus.

Travis’ new trick!
Posted on Saturday, July 11th, 2009
With X Games only 4 weeks away, Travis will be returning to the bike this year and competing in MotoX Best Trick. Of course Kyle Loza will be there to debut his trick and perhaps Greg Hartman will also appear. Thomas Pages will of course attempt to throw his Front Flip, last attempted at X by Travis’ best friend, Jim DeChamp.
The latest news about Travis’ X Games says he will compete in the competition and try to win it! He has hired Frank Bare, an Olympic aerialist coach. What does this mean? Perhaps a body varial of some sort or, since Kyle Loza will probably have that covered, maybe the bike variel from Travis and the Nitro Circus 3. After all, Travis has been trying to do the Volt since 2001, maybe he can see himself landing the bike varial.
Here are some shots of Travis back in 2005, in preparation for X Games 11 Best Trick.

TravisPastrana.com is finally up!

Well for the past couple of years, Travis’ “official” website wasn’t much of anything – never updated, no interesting content and rarely any input from Travis. Well that’s the end of that, Red Bull have set Travis up with a brand new one and it’s quite something to say the least.

Travis' New Website
On first impressions you might think it’s on of those hard-to-use flash sites but it’s quite entertaining to mess up TP’s face. It uses a slide system (I personally have only seen one other website with this design) and you form a new web page so to speak by matching up the three parts of a new image of Travis’ face. It also has some awesome photos, which are super high quality. There is also a news feed with a couple of articles already however there are one problem with the site, the RSS Feed and News are connected.
So why come here to travispastrana.net? Well I’ll be updating this website with new info as much as I can, uploading videos and adding new images for you and have something tp.com does not, a Forum. So sign-up and talk away!
You can check out Travis’ New Site Here.
Travis has been robbed!

The FMX community has been the prime target for thieves recently. A few weeks back, FMX Rider Jeremy Twitch Stenberg suffered the same fate as TP!
From racer.com – Jun 29 2009 1:48PM
Four motorcycles were stolen out of a trailer at Travis Pastrana’s house last night. The bikes were taken somewhere between 10 pm last night, Sunday, June 28th and 8:00 am this morning. Here is a list of the motorcycles:1. 2007 Suzuki RM250 – VIN JS1RJ18C172100934
2. 2008 Suzuki RMZ450 – VIN JS1RL42C382101816
3. 2004 Suzuki RM250 – VIN Unknown
4. 1996 Honda CR500 – VIN Unknown
Both of the RM250′s and the CR500 had powder-coated black frames. The seats were cut down and the airboxes and side number plates on the RM250′s were cut for Freestyle. Please keep your eyes open for anyone attempting to purchase RM250 airboxes. All bikes had Nitro Circus graphics and white TAG Metals handlebars, which are rare. The RM250′s had Pro Circuit un-plated Pipes and shorty Silencers. The CR500 had a plated Pro Circuit pipe and silencer. The RMZ450 had a complete Yoshimura exhaust system. All bikes have Michelin tires. The 2007 RM250 and 2008 RMZ450 were recently purchased.
If you see any of these bikes, please contact the Annapolis, Maryland Police Department or the Maryland State Police. You can also contact me at: Rocket47@peoplepc.com or my mobile at: 248-895-4399.
From the 2nd last paragraph is pretty much says the bikes were typical Nitro Circus bikes. For all those Maryland folk, keep an eye out for bikes with parts from Travis’ sponsors (checkout the sponsors page for more).
I know it’s a little late, but theft is pretty serious no matter who it is.
Sneak Peek of Nitro Circus – Season 2
Posted on Tuesday, June 30th, 2009
As always, Travis and the Nitro Circus are always coming up with new stunts. In season 1 for example, they attempted the first ever Monster Truck Backflip. This of course didn’t work however maybe this next stunt will. Here is a sneak peek of what will be shown on the next season

The MotoPlane. Note the #199 on the number plates. Perhaps Travis will fly it first?
It’s a flying motorcycle, and one of the crew members will attempt to fly it. This probably rates as a high risk stunt seeing as if you crash land you might get seriously injured. Stay tuned for more, Season 2 of Nitro Circus on MTV will be back soon!
Travis and X Games 15
Posted on Tuesday, June 30th, 2009
Well a few weeks ago you might of heard of the possible return of Travis Pastrana to MotoX at the X Games. He was invited to:
- MotoX Freestyle
- MotoX Best Trick
- MotoX SuperX
- Supermoto
- Rally
Travis has declined all the invintations but 2; Rally and MotoX Best Trick. According to the ESPN Action Sports FMX Blog, Travis has something big planned for MotoX Best Trick. He could however, give his place in the event to Jim DeChamp like he did last year.
Travis said he did not go through in competing in those events because he has no chance at winning. With X Games only a month away, Travis will be in the foam pit everyday. He has 17 days to master his trick for the Best Trick competition.
