Biography
Andy Bell is a canadian native, like Jolene and wears it with pride often repsenting Canada whenever he can. He once was a professional motocross racer in Canada, so good in fact he was in the top 10 for four years between 1991 – 1997. Like most mediocre racers at the time, Freestyle Motocross caught his eye and was another area which Andy found success. He ranked, again, in the top 10 FMX riders in the world from 1998 to 2002 and won the 2001 Canadian FMX Championships.
That was the end of Andy’s professional motorcycling eventually resorting to the office as Ogio’s Vice President of marketing. During his spare time he would meet up with Gregg Godfrey and Travis Pastrana and film various stunts for the Nitro Circus films. Andy was featured in the very first Pastrana-Godfrey production, Global Addiction and has appeared in the films since.
He is titled as the “Washed Up” Motorcycle Rider because he didn’t gain as much success through racing as perhaps Pastrana did but still popular with fans today. He was also nicknamed “Hasselhoff” after apparently being popular in Europe, much like David Hasselhoff himself. Reference to this name is in Nitro Circus 3 when Andy wears the Life Saving Uniform. This attire has also made its return on numerous times.
Andy now does filming for Nitro Circus while working at Ogio and sometimes judges FMX contests, such as the Red Bull X Fighters where he was the head judge for a few rounds.
